Peter Myles is a unique nominee because he's not a teacher...he's a bus driver of 25 years for the Lacey School District and he's retiring this year. He's been nominated by a teacher at Forked River Elementary School and he's described as "the epitome of what you hope your child's bus driver could be." Before school starts for the year, he will drive the route over and over to make sure that it's safe and efficient. For the past 5 years, he's been transporting special needs students and will go the extra mile (no pun intended), by giving individualized service to walk them to the door or wait if the child is not ready by the time the bus arrives. On holidays, Mr. Myles will dress the part whether it's Christmas or Halloween and during football season, you can confidently say that he's a Green Bay Packers fan with his green and yellow gear. We wish him the best in his retirement, but not before we see him on Wednesday at the banquet.
