Greater Media New Jersey home of Heritage Rock Station WRAT and WJRZ Greatest Hits is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to be our newest Account Executive. If you have sales experience, are detail oriented, and enjoy a fast pace, productive environment, this is the position for you.
The successful candidate will have prior outside sales experience and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to make sound business judgments and negotiate favorable outcomes, for both the station and client, are important success factors for this position. Job responsibilities will include working with clients to sell radio schedules, events and promotions as well as digital products. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Clean driving record and car a must.

About Greater Media WJRZ 100.1 and the WRAT are radio stations of Greater Media, Inc. Greater Media, Inc. is the parent company of twenty-three AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Detroit, Charlotte, New Jersey, and Philadelphia markets. Greater Media also owns a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey and several telecommunications towers, located throughout the United States.
MANAGER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
FACILITIES INVOLVED: All Greater Media New Jersey Radio Properties (As of October 2013, these include New Brunswick, Morristown, Belmar, Lake Como, and Manahawkin, plus associated transmitter sites.)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: New Jersey Director of Technical Operations
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for all Information Technology issues for the listed facilities. These include but are not limited to: Maintenance of all computer and computer related equipment for both the broadcast operation and the business operation; Design, implementation, and administration of LAN/WAN networks. Monitor and maintain proper and effective backups, security and virus protection for network; Assure compliance with all regulatory issues, including maintaining proper license counts for all software on all computers. Alert management to any regulatory or licensing problems; Provide support for all software approved by management for use in the facilities. Make recommendations toward standards of software. Roll out software as changes occur. Assist in developing and setting policies related to all aspects of IT; Develop, maintain, and execute training programs for IT users; Stay abreast of current and emerging technology and equipment and make recommendations, as appropriate, for upgrades, retrofits, and changes; To be on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies related to the operation; Maintenance of the Audiovault digital audio storage system; Assist in developing and maintaining IT department operating and capital budgets; Interface with department heads to assess needs and solve problems; Manage IT department staff; Assist within the engineering department with non-IT activities and participate in miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS: A+, MCP, MCSE, or equivalent experience. Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems, Exchange 2007/2010, Layer 2/3 Switching, Cisco ASA, Citrix Xenapp, Symantec BackupExec, Active Directory, WAN/LAN expertise. The individual must have excellent communication, troubleshooting skills and a strong customer service orientation. Ability to prioritize projects, to administrate tasks with attention to detail, and adhere to budgets. Intimate knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and software.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years IT experience.

We are currently seeking interns!
Interns will work in the Promotions/Marketing department, with potential opportunities in the Sales, Production, Programming, and Engineering departments. You will also be exposed to all aspects of running a commercial radio station, learning from some of the best in the industry. Interest in event marketing a plus. All majors are accepted, college credit is REQUIRED. You must be available a minimum of 15-20 hours a week.
